If Only...

If only this was a reality in my house.

If only my dear loving, hubby forced me out of the kitchen so that he could manage the mess.

If only he wore an apron in order to do the dishes, sweep the floor, do the laundry, prepare a meal, and.....the list goes on.

If only he still manned the barbecue.

If only he would go to the grocery to buy more than an item or 2.

If only he still ran the vacuum, even if it was occasionally.

If only he took charge of the kids and the evening ritual of bathing, tooth brushing, story reading, and tucking in.

If only he'd bring me breakfast in bed.

If only he would run to Starbuck's on my special day (Mother's Day, Birthday) to get me a much loved and desired mocha.

If only this was not a dream and fantasy of mine.

How many of you are lucky enough to have a hubby who is more than willing to help out with the house hold chores?

Mine likes to mention what needs to be done as he sits down for some television pleasure as I toil about getting "things" done.

Here's to the Mom's who get it all done day in and day out!!!

LOL! Mine is really good about barbequing, and that is the majority of our cooking in the summer months, so I am very thankful for that! Plus, as he is in town more often than I, it's not unusual for him to come home with several bags of groceries. But anything as far as house work - forget about it!!! But, I wouldn't want to do his work, so I don't complain! : )

He's helpful in a pinch, like if someone just called to say they're stopping by, but otherwise, he only points things out, though he will start the grill for me if I ask nicely LOL!

I'm in awe of the clean, empty cabinet under the sink ...

Welll..... I won't mention what mine does(n't), lol. But I do like that picture. I want a kitchen like that!

Mine actually does the dishes every night after dinner. And gets up early on Saturdays to make the family breakfast while I sleep late!

Of course he also leaves his socks on the floor, so it equals out somewhere, lol!

You do have it tougher than most I think Suzi. I think you husband needs to be transported back to 1950 and he'd fit in perfectly.

My husband does quite a bit of the house stuff because of my school schedule. Will your husband tackle a "honey-do" list of projects? Maybe you could add one or two cleaning things to the list! :)

Mine cooks. :) But dishes are my thing.

Mine is really good about that stuff (sorry!) He is an A type that has to be constantly doing something.

That is such a cute picture! While mine is never forcing me out of the kitchen, I can't complain too much. He's darn helpful! And he was a military man and I am not a neat and tidy person. He realized ages ago if he wanted it spic and span he was going to have to help out. LOL

Well, your husband and my husband must be related because that is exactly the way things play out at our house too! He goes into his cave,(our bedroom)cracks open a cold one, and watches the Tube. (Usually it's the Golf Channel or Die Hard. Although tonight it was Horton Hears a Who?) while I splash on a little of that perfume(What was is... Enjole???) and fry it up on the grill. :0)
