Product Review and Giveaway: Skin MD Natural

With summer upon us I am always on a quest for the best possible moisturizing lotion and sun block for me and family; and I was offered to review the shielding lotion with SPF 15 sun block lotion from Skin MD Naturals to try on my dry, dry, dry hands and for general use on my face.

We have been using the shielding lotion with SPF 15 sunblock for the past few weeks and the qualities that I like the most about it are the clean and streak free finish it provides after application to your skin. The moisturizing qualities are great and this sunblock does not leave a greasy feeling on your face whatsoever. And since that is one of my "problem areas" the lack of grease by 12 is a great thing.

This quote from their website sums up what their product is to me, "Shielding lotion is a lotion that forms a protective barrier on the skin and keeps out irritants and chemicals. It also allows the natural oils and moisture to remain in the skin so it can heal better. It is a big advantage that shielding lotions are light and go on without a greasy mess."

The great thing too about the Skin MD line of products is that they are all natural and you can visit their ingredients list to check out exactly what the definition is of the words you may not know on the label. Their ingredient list is HERE. You know those words, the multi-syllabic puzzling ingredients that you just wonder about. They are defined and explained by Skin MD.

Their shielding lotion is great for the treatment of skin ailments including eczema and psoriasis, but to thoroughly understand their product, how it works and why, and see reviews from doctors visit their website!!

Finally, If you want to receive a free bottle of shielding lotion with sunscreen SPF 15, go and visit the Skin MD website and come back and make a comment here at TAG about something you read.

GIVEAWAY: The four oz. bottles of Shielding Lotion and Sunscreen SPF 15 retail for 25.00 dollars. I can give away two bottles to The Apron Goddesses readers so go for a visit and make a comment below to be entered for the random drawing!

My daughter and I are both troubled with Psoriasis so I found the info on that to be interesting. I would like to try this.

Thanks for the link!

I'm intrigued! Between always washing my hands and working with fabric and paper, the moisture is just sucked out of my hands. It's especially horrible in the winter. I read most of the user reviews, and they sound promising ... if I don't win this, I'm going to go buy some ... the store locator says it's sold at a local Walgreen's.

I just may have to check this out... really! My daughter Millen has the driest and most sensitive skin you can imagine- partly from her Ethiopian heritage, and partly due to her Down syndrome. Anyway, I am always struggling like mad to get products she can actually use. Most sunscreens are out of the question for her.

Have a wonderful weekend, Julie dear☺

Thanks for this great head's up; both my daughters have really sensitive skin and we are always on the lookout for new products to try that aren't greasy. I'd love to win one of the samples for my girls to try. If not, I'll buy some and try it. Great thing about blogs, people give you honest opinions!

I find the antibacterial properties intriguing. If my comment wins this, though, I'd want you to send the product to Persuaded (3rd comment) for her to try on her daughter. :)

I like the fact that this product will protect your and rehydrate your skin I'd love to try it to protect against the sun's radiation seeing I already hide inside when it's really sunny out.
The fact that it's not greasy would be perfect
Thanks Nikki

The hubs has had several skin cancers taken out already and has the driest skin ever so it would be good for him to try.
I quote from the site:
A Shielding Lotion is far more effective as a dry skin treatment than conventional moisturizing lotions or protective creams

thanks!

I like that the hand lotion will help maintain moisture so your hands don't get/feel dry. My hands are perpetually dry....I could use some of this.

I am intrigued. I have very sensitive skin and have only been using sunblock with zinc and titanium dioxide which a thick and white.

I hope I'm not too late to put my name in the draw. This would be great for The girl, she breaks out if she looks at stuff so I am always trying new things to see what we can use to soften and protect her without her looking like a polka-dot

So did they end up contacting you, or did they send it to you after I told them to contact you. Remember I had emailed you and asked you if you wanted some? Just wondering because they emailed me asking if I had gotten it and how it was working. I had to tell her I never got anything. Wasn't sure if you did and I didn't. Or if they got a hold of you on their own. I'm waiting to hear back from her.
