4th of July Apron Giveaway Courtesy of Savy Suzi

July is just around the corner Apron Goddesses!!!! And that means that you need an apron for the 4th of July. Suzi, my sometimes co-anchor Apron Goddess, wanted to make an apron for this holiday and offer it up here on TAG. So here are some pictures of the fabric combinations for this reversible half apron which sports our countries patriotic symbols and colors.

I am of the strong opinion that Suzi successfully paired the appropriate celebratory fabric for this apron. She chose a white fabric speckled with blue and red stars for one side and dark blue fabric with larger sized stars patterned in a flag motif for the other. The stripy sash finishes off the look and can be tied in the back or front.

Now this is me wearing this lovely apron and holding the cupcake Suzi brought over to accompany it to my house. Suzi knows all too well that I am a sucker for baked goods. If you could read my mind here is what I am thinking,

"This here little cupcake equals the calories burned by walking 58 minutes.... Damn, do I really need to eat these calories. This is a serious decision. It's late at night. I might as well just tape it to my buttock. Or I could Velcro it to my thy I guess. Decisions, decisions, hmmmmm..."

Here is the reverse side of the apron for you to see. I am once again holding the cupcake, but with a different happier point of view. The giant hamster spinning the wheel in my head is shouting,

"Oh, screw it! Just eat the f-ing cupcake. I will just have to walk an hour tomorrow. See! Now you feel better. Right?? Yes. Of course. Eat the cupcake. It can't really hurt you!!"

Now that you have seen both sides of the apron on a live human and know the proper deduction method for eating a cupcake at 10 at night, you can rationalize that you probably want this apron.

So to enter the giveaway for the Patriotic Apron made by Suzi at Savy Suzi, head over to her site for a visit and say hello. Then come back and leave a comment about what you are planning to cook for the 4th of July.

For five extra entries blog about this apron giveaway leaving your permalink in the comments.

And ten bonus entries are yours if you send in a photo of yourself wearing an apron. It's just that easy. When sending a picture please include the name of your blog and screen name in the e-mail message. I will write up your apron-ography in the weeks to come.

Get your charcoal ready and good luck!

I adore the apron, it's so festive, I'd love to enter. I enjoyed Savy Suzi's blog too.
I'm sure we'll be doing our usual
4th of July cookout, with ribs, potato salad and good ole baked beans, of course dessert will be something red white and blue!!
I'm laughing out loud and your arguement with the cupcake...to eat or not to eat. Yea I'd just eat it. lol!!! Have a super day!!

I like the apron very much... but I love your cupcake deductions even more;) sadly, I won't enter this giveaway as I'm afraid I am a bit too "Rubenesque" for its dainty proportions... must be all those cupcakes I've got taped to my nether portions, eh? hehehe

Cute, cute, cute! Posted about it here:
http://house-hill.blogspot.com/2009/06/what-should-you-wear-on-4th-of-july.html

As for what we're cooking ... probably the usual hamburgers and hot dogs, broccoli salad, corn on the cob, veggies and dip, yadda, yadda, yadda. But this year we're also going to have birthday cake ... my brother, his wife, and my husband are all turning 40 this year and their birthdays are within 2 weeks of each other and of the 4th, so we're have a much bigger crowd than usual. This is going to be so much fun! And it'd be even more fun in that cute little apron LOL!

Now that is just too cute! I know first hand how adorable Suzi's aprons are. :)
Hey Julia! Did you know that it takes 24 hours for your body to get back into fat burning mode after cheating on a diet? :) LOL

Just giving you a REALLY hard time this morning. That one little cupcake won't velcro itself to your buttocks. LOL xoxo

Love that Apron. Great job Suzi!! I'm crossing my fingers and toes for this one!

You look so cute wearing it!

Did you see my latest cupcake recipe? Don't look at it! Resist temptation!

I found a really cool skirt at the Goodwill with a light denim background, horses, spurs, cowboy hats, etc. Want to make an apron out of it when I find time!

What a cute apron! Alas, I don't think I will be cooking anything this July 4th, because it looks like I might have to cover trauma call. Oh, well - what's a holiday without a little trauma?

Heading off to see Suzi's blog now!

The 4th will be grilling day, of course! Grilled vegetarian italian sausages on buns, grilled mixed veggies and for dessert, I haven't decided. Either peanut butter cereal bars OR trifle made with chocolate muffin crumbles and chocolate pudding. :)

Cute apron!!! Cooking for 4th of July will be corn on the cob, ribeyes, potato salad, rice krispie treats, strawberries, and sweet ice tea!

Love the apron! I went over and saw the cookies Suzi got the other day - yum!!!

We will be doing lots of grilling, plus it appears we will have a farmer's market that morning, so I'll be baking lots of bread and goodies.

Very nice apron. I love it. I went to the site (cool UPS truck I would get excited if I saw one like that delivering something to me too!). I always make patriotic deserts for 4th of July-- strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream in fancy glasses. Easy and red, white & blue.

darling apron, I'd love a chance (or more!) to win it. I never debate eating the cupcake, I just eat equal bites so it goes to both hips...

We'll be doing dogs and 'burgs on the grill, corn, guacamole, lots of nibble food and lots of beer.

I'll mention the site on my blog, sno-wear.blogspot.com when I go back to it later today.
