The Girl's Reversible Swap Apron

My sewing machine called a truce and I was able to sew this apron together in record time. We have a rocky relationship and from time to time; and my machine, which is as old as me, acts up and I want to throw it out the door. Except, I could only pick it up and drop it. It weighs so much there'd be no launching this machine in the spectacular manner that I would want to achieve.

Anyway...I made not one but TWO of the aprons I showed fabric for on Monday. Here's Ella showing hers.

Me: "Wait, Come Back HERE!!!! We need to take a picture of the apron you are wearing...

That's better!

And the other side looks like this.

Ella: "Since there is grass I must roll in it."

That's it! I am amazed I managed to make two aprons in a over a 48 hr period. Watch out, I may break a land speed record next.

I made this apron by tracing the outline of another kids apron on the fabric, cutting three inch strips for the tie straps, and a rectangle for the pocket. The rickrack dawned on me after all the cutting was done so I just added it into the equation for that extra touch. Believe me, anyone can make this one!!

Congratulations!!! The only thing left to do is cure cancer and end world hunger! Seriously, though, very cute apron. Maybe it's just the model wearing it but I think it's spiffy ;)

I love it! The daisies are darling! :D Nice job!

I was watching a show on Food Network a little bit ago and they were talking about the Garlic Festival right near you and my daughter wanted me to ask if you'd ever gone. So, have you ever gone? :0)
