Sorry to be late with the giveaway for this week Apron Goddesses... We've had a problem with one of our cats which has required my attention for the past few days. Sometimes the wheels grind to a halt here but they are moving once again.

Additionally, I would like to let all you Goddesses know that all giveaways are going to be for a two week period beginning with this one. While striving to maintain the furious pace of the last year it is getting tougher with other work and family commitments. But apron-ographys, sprinklings of posts with food and cooking equipment, and other fun apron topics will still be coming weekly.

Celebrities in Aprons

Right now I am in the middle of the Indiana Jones series, with Harrison Ford. I remember when Raider's of the Lost Ark came out. For me it was packed with a lot of action and a little bit of creepy, I don't like snakes either. Well, I was just a young lass when it came out.

Now that the season premiers are in full swing we can all get back to watching Brother's and Sister's, starring Calista Flockhart.

Now isn't it nice to see that there are celebrities that are compassionate? Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford are seen above helping feed the homeless on Skid Row. With the Holidays fast approaching and the sad shape of our economy it is important to give back and volunteer our time when we can. So go on ladies and gentlemen, don your aprons and find yourself a soup kitchen! It is very rewarding!

JDaniel4's Mom is an Apron Goddess

Here we have Apron Goddess D! And she goes by JDaniel4's Mom on the internet. This apron is heart touching containing memories from the past with drawings and words from school age kids covering the fabric.

D. wrote, "I am learning to cook more than just five or six dishes. When I got married three years ago, my friends teased me about how many cooking items I had registered for. Now I have really learned how to use them. The best thing about mastering more recipes was feeling more confident to experiment and change them based on the ingredients I have on hand."

Then she continued saying, "My favorite apron is this one in the picture. I was given it by the second grade class that I student taught in twenty-two years ago. They all signed it. I wore it for messy crafts and cookie activities in my classroom for over twenty years."

I think that I would value this apron too. It was made by happy little hands as and expression of their thanks! This apron made me smile and think good thoughts.

Mindy wrote, "I love my apron and I would to have more! The are so feminine and fun! My friend Pooba got me hooked on them. My husband gave me this apron for Mother's Day. I love to bake so I where it whenever I bake and I'm pretty messy when I cook or eat so I often keep it on. It's so comfortable I end up wearing it most of the day. My husband is in the air force and monthly the wives/spouses have a get together and I'm looking forward to showing off my apron when it's my turn to host."
