Apron Goddess Mindy in Gorgeous Floral!

Here is Mindy wearing a wonderful red and blue hibiscus patterned apron in a "Marilyn" style, showing that is too is a wonderful Apron Goddess.

Mindy wrote, "I love my apron and I would to have more! The are so feminine and fun! My friend Pooba got me hooked on them. My husband gave me this apron for Mother's Day. I love to bake so I where it whenever I bake and I'm pretty messy when I cook or eat so I often keep it on. It's so comfortable I end up wearing it most of the day. My husband is in the air force and monthly the wives/spouses have a get together and I'm looking forward to showing off my apron when it's my turn to host."

Cake Wrecks

Have you seen this site?

NO? What are you waiting for? This is a great site for all you people who love cakes, cupcakes, etc. This is the place to go for a good laugh. Each and every day, sometimes twice a day the general public can send in photos of cakes or cupcakes that are professionally done, but don't turn out anything like what they ordered.

As a result Cake Wrecks posts your entry and does a little write up on it. They are quite amusing, so keep your eyes peeled for cakes that are anything but flawless. They also show some cakes that are pretty well thought out, so it's not all bad.

See the apron? Yes, they even sell Cake Wreck Aprons. You can find them HERE. So go on, amuse yourself and see what wacky cakes and cupcakes people order and then end up with. Heck, why not order an apron from them too. I could use one, my penguins could have qualified.....if only someone had paid me to make them.

Cara the Apron Goddess

Cara is an Apron Goddess! She is also a country girl. She has a blog called The Country Life is for Me and I can't blame her since I live in the country myself. It's a great way to raise kids and perfect for gardens.

Speaking of gardens, go see Cara's! She has a lot to show us from her garden. What a bountiful harvest. I am loving all the colors of her vegetables. Wonderful job Cara.

She is also involved in a Pregnancy Outreach Center and Mothering Home. The group is called The Ephesus House. They reach out to their community by providing temporary housing assistance to mother's in crisis pregnancy.

Cara is also a lover of the apron, which is why she is an Apron Goddess. She has entered in Lucy and Shawnee's Vintage Apron Swap and received this lovely half apron from her swap partner. Isn't it beautiful? I thought so too! She is also a member of The Apronista, which is everything aprons. The Screams From The Masses Will Silence The World-The Winner of the Heavenly Hostess Apron is Here

Somebody is going to be very happy today. Somebody has won this apron and a matching headband from the Heavenly Hostess:

After an strenuous accounting of all the entries, I think I pulled a muscle. Then the Random Number Generator did the easy work and produced the following number:

22

And the lucky lady located at this spot (say that three times) is Atlanta at Life(ish). I think she will be pretty much freaking out about winning this apron.

Congratulations Atlanta!!

Thank You to Cynthia at Heavenly Hostess for sponsoring this amazing giveaway!!!

Apron Goddesses please continue to support the hand made movement and purchase those garments made in the USA!! Visit our sponsors and make your purchases count toward our economy! There's an economic stimulus package for you. :)

My FAVORITE New Website

Apron Goddesses, I hate shopping at stores.

Well OK, I detest shopping at stores.

Yes, it is just that bad. Therefore, I do a lot of on line shopping. BUT I recently stumbled upon a website with which you may already be familiar but if not you must go visit!! ASAP.

It is called RetailMeNot and it hosts coupons for over 30,000 on line retailers. It's simple and wonderful and I am saving 10 to 15 percent with each online order I make these days. Saving money is like earning money and when there are coupons for the taking I can't help but spread the news.

So go and check it out and save some money with me!

Toy Review-Wooden Bus From Plan Toys and EBeanstalk

No folks, it's not an apron today. I have something different...

Picking toys is not easy and there is a toy website called ebeanstalk, dedicated to selecting good, safe educational toys and learning baby gifts. BUT they need help from moms like me to help pick the toys. The toy they sent is called Activity Bus from Plan Toys, who makes eco-friendly wooden toys.

I have been a fan of Plan Toys and was excited to get to review one of their products. They make a wide variety of rolling stock, mini-cities, doll house and interactive activity toys. I recommend looking at their selections.

I love the concept of wooden toys made from sustainable forestry resources to which Plan Toys is committed. About half of our toys are wood and I buy non-plastic toys for birthday gifts for the kids school friends too when ever possible. I would like to encourage others to do the same.

Ella is using the bus as a dozer below. Not the intended use but a great way to have fun with this toy regardless of what we adults think.

This lovely pair of mini-dolls are the teacher and student which accompanied the bus. Their legs are attached by elastic bands so you can make them stand or sit by pulling on their feet.

These poor little people are mostly cast aside so that Ella can use the interior of the bus for block transport. You see how the bus opens up and the entire seating area can be used for it's cargo capacity.

Filling the interior with blocks seems to be great entertainment for Ella and it hones her stacking and organizing skills.

There are no yucky chemicals on these toys and by supporting this manufacturer your choice is for sustainability, not more plastic to end up in landfills. (Wood will biodegrade a bezillion times faster than plastic!)

So I would encourage you to take a side trip over to Plan Toys today and look at what they have available for your kids. I know I always like the feel of the wooden toys better than the plastic. Maybe buy something with a natural feel for the next present you intend to purchase for your kid? I don't think you will regret it!

A-Priori Mommy is an Apron Goddess!

Meet Jo, the author at A-Priori Mommy. She is a SAHM of a sweet little boy named Aiden. She is a non-practicing attorney, which is where A-Prior comes from. Jo says "You obtain knowledge through experiences that are logically related to one another and therefore that knowledge of logical relations of ideas is a priori knowledge because we are able to perceive these logical relations without needing empirical evidence for them. Or at first glance you know it to be true because logic tells you it is so!"

Jo is not only a mom to handsome little Aiden, but she also has an etsy shop called Ace Quilting where she has some photography, eye pillows, bath cakes and sachets. Go see what she might have to offer you!

She loves her some aprons and the one she has on now is her latest half apron. I think it is adorable. Perfect for entertaining, cooking, and just wearing about. She also loves Fall and has decorated her home accordingly. You can see her Fall decoration ideas HERE.

Now all you Apron Gods and Goddesses need to head on over to A-Priori Mommy and show her some bloggy love. Everyone loves comments, so drop her one.

A Heavenly Apron Giveway from Heavenly Hostess

Hello Apron Goddesses!!!

This wonderfully patterned red print apron is courtesy of Heavenly Hostess!!! Owner Cynthia Wadell has generously sponsored this apron promotion which includes a matching headband!! This apron is fully reversible and simply flattering to all figures.

Cynthia creates very beautiful, glamorous hostess aprons made with satins, embellished lace and organza fabrics, including beading and specialty trims. She is also producing expertly designed cotton aprons for everyday use.

With her confession, Cynthia says, “I love to cook and entertain, and have always found it odd that you could not purchase a beautiful hostess apron to wear for entertaining. I wanted the elegance and quality of the aprons that my grandmother wore with such grace during holidays and special occasions."

In keeping with that quest, Cynthia could not find, and still can’t find, an everyday cotton apron that actually fits and is comfortable. So she designed her own. Many of Heavenly Hostess halter aprons are available small/medium up to Plus sizes, including Mommy & Me.

All Heavenly Hostess products are proudly manufactured in Sunny California, including her fabulous signature keepsake box.

Cynthia's primary goal is to create positive change through commerce. Her company tag line, "Serve with Grace," is in keeping with the values and traditions imbued from Cynthia's grandmother, family and friends. Cynthia says, “ My business is my own individual way to give back and make a difference." You can see the charities including Kiva and Women for Women International, which Heavenly Hostess supports at their site here.

To enter the giveaway for this fabulous apron from Heavenly Hostess, visit the boutique and choose your favorite item. Come back to The Apron Goddesses and make a comment naming which apron you like best. That will give you one entry into the giveaway.

Apron Goddess Heather from Is It Naptime Yet?

Good Sunday to all Apron Goddesses today! Heather aka Trippy Momma at Is It Naptime Yet? won this apron here a few weeks ago. I am so happy she has shared her picture with us. :D

This lovely Apron Goddess said, "I am Heather, I'm 24, the mother of a beautiful little girl who's 3, and the future step-mother of a gorgeous girl named Tristan!

I have always spent most of my time in the kitchen. Cooking is my "thing"! I've been a stay-at-home mom for a little over a year now. I recently started my own business called "Little Spirals."

At Little Spirals, I make homemade flavored coffees, hot chocolates, cookie mixes in a jar, soups in a jar, and many more items. I also make different gift baskets out of all my products! I'm not sure how I stumbled upon the Apron Goddess blog, but when I did I became quickly infatuated with aprons.

I won the apron I'm wearing in the picture (it's made by Sugar Pie Chic) from this blog, and have since then added 3 more to my collection! When I put an apron on I feel like I'm ready to get down to business! I love it :)

So check out Heather at her blog or at Little Spirals and see what's cooking!!

Mr. Apron God Channels Elvis

Atlanta over at Life(ish) sent in this awesome picture of her husband (below) in an apron for our viewing pleasure. Thank you Atlanta!! This one is a home run...

With her explanation, Atlanta said, "I made this for my sister in law. I mailed it to her yesterday and it is a surprise. She loves her some Elvis! This is a pic of My Hubby in it!" She did not want me spoiling the surprise for her sister so I waited to show you this spokes-model... And her sassy pants husband has the right attitude in my opinion for the ambassador of Elvis and aprons.

And wouldn't you know Atlanta even has her own Etsy store called the:

Mamie L Designs Classic Beauty Apron Giveaway

Welcome back Apron Goddesses! I hope you had a nice three day weekend and are ready to get back in the swing of things.

To get you moving again here is a classic chef style apron made by Mamie L Designs. Owner Deborah is sponsoring this apron which is made from a Moda fabric. She wrote, "The great colors remind me of berry sorbet and chocolate. I love to use polka dot fabric for trim and it works really well here, accenting the pocket and bottom of the apron as well as neck and waist ties."

Owner Deborah, uses a variety of fabrics to give each apron their own look and appeal. She only make 1-2 aprons out of each combination of fabrics. Some have a retro feel, some more vintage, some more modern and there are holiday and theme specific aprons as well.

Deborah says, "It all depends on what fabrics strike me!" Then she revealed, "After not sewing for 30 years, I just felt the drive to start working with fabrics and sewing again. So about 2 years ago I began this apron venture, and haven't looked back!"

All Mamie L Design aprons are made of prewashed 100% cotton. And mommy and me sets, aprons for children and men's aprons are available at Deborah's Etsy store.

And on a parting note, the name Mamie L Designs is in honor of a special "assistant" who joined Deborah's family about the time she started sewing again. This assistant must be a great asset to the team.

To enter the random drawing for pink and brown patterned apron pictured at the top of this post visit Mamie L Designs and choose your favorite item from the boutique. Come back to The Apron Goddesses and make a comment naming which apron you like best. That will give you one entry into the giveaway.

For five extra entries into the drawing create a blog post about this giveaway, leaving your permalink in your comment.

Look at this Little Apron Goddess!

Meet Rhonda's little Apron Goddess. Isn't she adorable? In fact she looks exactly like Rhonda as a little girl. You'll be amazed at the similarities.

Is this a "Mommy Dearest" moment? Or is the apron pinching someone a little? Rhonda has her little girl in an apron that is just too cute! (Whether baby girl thinks so or not!) I love the color combination used with this apron. Pink and green are always fun colors to match up and compliment each other very well. Little Miss Apron Goddess looks like she is ready to bake.

Rhonda is the master mind behind Whine and Noses, that's right, Whine and Noses, not Wine and Roses. She tells us about her love for her 2 daughters who are 14 and 4, as well as her love for her gadgets. She loves her Kindle, iPod Touch, Blackberry, digital camera, and of course her laptop. Recently she has been having a hard time with her computer and just can't seem to part with it.

Rhonda is an avid Rick Spring field fan. She had been to every concert, show, etc. that came through her hometown of Chicago. She was even fortunate enough to meet her idol, go back stage, and receive a signed guitar.

Head on over to Whine and Noses and introduce yourselves. Leave Rhonda a comment to show your bloggy love and support. After you have spread some bloggy love have a great weekend.

Where Can I Get One?

Just because it has been one of those days, or rather one of those weeks, I would like my husband to wear one of these aprons. Not because he has been bad or anything, but because I just don't want to do any more of the dirty work!!!

Now if this guy showed up while we were camping I'd hand him the spatula and step out of the way. Grab my cup of tea and look at the trees. After all, he wore the apron! I'd have to get some use out of him.

Would your spouse wear this one?

We are headed to an over night camp out for the first time with the kids this weekend. Wish me luck!! I'm going to make Daddy cook breakfast. In an apron.

And just so you all know...this is Julia. I stole this photo from Suzi. I hope she does not flog me... Hee, hee...

And DON'T FORGET you can still sign up for the giveaway sponsored by Brassy Apple for the Corseted Darla Apron! Click here to enter.

Rebecca runs the show over at Simplify, Beautify, Satisfy where she is a stay at home mother of 5 children. Wow, it makes me tired just thinking about running after 5 kids. Good for you Rebecca! I will title you Domestic Mommy Goddess as well today.

As you can see Rebecca is the proud winner of the 4th of July apron. I have to say she looks absolutely beautiful in it. She looks very festive for such a fun holiday.

Rebecca says "I am really loving the I Be Cooking Aprons apron, so I thought I'd better finally send in a photo for an entry! I really like this apron! I love this apron you gals sent me!!! And it's about time you should have a photo of me in it, right? Thanks!!!"

Personally, I LOVE the apron (after all I made the cute little thing). I hope, Rebecca, that you are enjoying it and getting good use out of it. It should keep you clean while you prepare meals for that family of yours.

So go see Rebecca and introduce yourself. After all that is part of the fun in meeting new people, right? Go on, get out of here. Go see Rebecca! Everybody loves a few extra comments so lets make her day.
